What we make · space to breathe
Burnout takes space. We make it.
Real places where you don’t have to hold it together — or do it alone. Some have already happened in LA; one’s still being built, with a seat in it for you.
Already happened · in LA
Spaces we’ve already made.
FEATURED · THE ONE THAT BECAME A REFUGE
Slacker Studio: Between the Beats
A sensory room we opened for a city catching its breath after the fires — somewhere to feel the loss without being asked to fix it. We meant it for a week. We stayed open while LA needed it.
ABBOT KINNEY · JAN 25–FEB 2 2025
Self Serve × Pura Padel
Bodies that forgot they were tired, moving anyway.
SHERMAN OAKS · NOV 13 2024
Slacker Studio: The Vulnerability Hangover
The morning after you said too much — a room that held the hangover instead of flinching.
ABBOT KINNEY · FEB 14–16 2025
Let's Talk: Anxiety & Rumination
A cypher for the loop in your head — said out loud, in a room that didn't look away.
INGLEWOOD · OCT 28 2024
Self-Care Sunday × Ukiyo
An evening with nowhere to be and no one to perform for.
GLENDALE · OCT 27 2024
Welcome to LA
A homecoming for people who'd only just arrived — strangers, briefly un-strangered.
SILVER LAKE · SEP 24–26 2024
Still building · the next space
The Burnout Lounge.
We named it the Burnout Lounge. Then we lived it.
Our first store was opening in LA, January 2025 — then the actual fires. A year and a half later, we’re building it back online, open to everyone.
Refuge, not cure. (Dr. Jeshana Avent-Johnson, Clinical psychologist · selfmade advisor, MH Deep Dive (T9): “In the context of relationships we are wounded — but it is in the context of relationships that we heal. Without mud, there’s no lotus.”)
Your seat’s saved the moment you become a Keeper — Keepers get the backroom when the doors open.
Not ready? Leave an email — we’ll hold a cocoon.
